NEW KANYE: Lost In This World (feat. Bon Iver)

Lost In This World - Kanye West feat. Bon Iver

Woow, what a day to close out this month. First off we got 3 of the most anticipated debut albums of the year, and now a sick track by Kanye that made him shut down his "G.O.O.D. Friday" scheme in which he had been releasing a new track every friday for a little over a month now.  Ye was real upset when this track leaked and you can easily tell why.  This track has an unusual sound, its sort of a cross between Yeezy's "808's & Hearbreaks" album and his hit track "Power".  The track starts out real chill and slow, and the beat doesn't drop in until about a minute in.  Nevertheless, a really dope unique track from Kan with help from recently frequent collaborator: Bon Iver.  Enjoy! See you guys in October!

Remember you can download this track and any other ones by clicking on the downward pointing arrow on the right side of the music player!!!

3 Sick Debut Albums: BRUNO MARS, Magnetic Man & Waka Flocka Flame

3 debut albums leaked today by 3 completely different yet hyped artists.  We've got Bruno Mars: a chart-topping pop singer songwriter, Magnetic Man: A new trancestep/dubstep group made up of 3 DJ's, and Waka Flocka Flame: 1017 Brick Squad's own Southern rap/Crunk rapper.

NEW Far East Movement + MORE Bruno Mars

If I Was You (OMG) - Far*East Movement & Snoop Dogg

AZN hip-hop group Far East Movement is steadily taking over the game with their sick upbeat material that's getting more and more recognition.  Their track 'Like a G6' is blowing up just now, although it's been around since the spring.  Anyways, here's another catchy party track by FM with D.O. Double G.

If I Was You (Feat. Snoop Dogg) - FM by bayareatracksnow

Marry You - Bruno Mars

Another track off Bruno's debut album scheduled to drop in a week.  I know this one'll please some ears so enjoy!

Fight The Power - Public Enemy

Alright so no legit tracks leaked today so I'll be putting up this classic by hip hop legends Public Enemy.  This track, released in 1989, is probably the most known by PE and really shows the lyrical power hip hop can provide.  Chuck D and Flava Flav just flat out shut it down on this amazing track.  Take a listen (if you don't know this already) and you'll see why these guys have such an influence on hip hop and the American people.

Public Enemy - Fight The Power by centrovoy

Lil Wayne - I Am Not A Human Being

First off, I want to wish my only and fellow BAY AREA TRACK-ER Takeshi a.k.a. T-MAT.....AND LIL WAYNE a very happy birthday!  So here it is, Weezy's album/mixtape is here as promised and it's everything I expected: sick verses, witty similes and metaphors, and unstoppable flow.  Wayne's slated to come home from Rikers Island in November and Tha Carter IV is on the way.  Young Money!

NEW Mario + NEW Lloyd Banks

My Territory - Mario

(Super) Mario's definitely one of my favorites when it comes to R&B.  If you're a Mario fan like me there's no doubt you're going to like this track right here.  Check it Out!!

My Territory - Mario by bayareatracksnow

Reach Out - Lloyd Banks

A real dope track from G-Unit member Lloyd Banks.  Watch out for his upcoming album H.F.M. 2 to drop soon.  I now honestly think that Banks > 50  (Based on material released recently....and Tony Yayo doesn't count).  What do you guys think? Comment!!

Reach Out - Lloyd Banks by bayareatracksnow

BTW 2 more Weezy tracks leaked today but I'll just wait for the album to come out (in a couple days I think) and I'll just post that.

NEW Chris Brown + NEW ARTIST: Matisse (Akon Remix) + A 'Lil' Bit of YOUNG MONEY

Yeah 3x - Chris Brown

Chris Brown's comeback to glory has been pretty steady so far.  His mixtape with Young Money's Tyga, Fan of a Fan, was a huge hit and he's looking to drop his next album, F.A.M.E., sometime in early 2011.  Here's a track called Yeah 3x by Chris.  It sounds like a more typical Akon track with an upbeat electro beat and all, but still a pretty solid track that should get alot of recognition.

Yeah 3x - Chris Brown by bayareatracksnow

Better Than Her (Remix) - Matisse feat. Akon

After breaking up with her sister from their group Brit & Alex, Brit (Matisse) has decided to pursue a solo career in music.  Her hit debut single, Better Than Her reached the top spot on the U.S. Dance Chart and here, Akon's added his voice to an overall pretty great track.

Better Than Her - Matisse feat. Akon by bayareatracksnow

With You - Lil Wayne feat. Drake

Still locked up at Rikers Island, here's a track off Weezy's upcoming album, I Am Not A Human Being, due out in a couple days.  It'll be Wayne's second solo album that's not part of Tha Carter series, Rebirth being the first.  Overall, this track has a classic melo Weezy vibe to it with Drizzy adding his sweet voice in the hook.  Weezy's scheduled to come home in about only 5 weeks so don't fret, Tha Carter IV's on its way.

Right Through Me - Nicki Minaj

The third single off Nicki's debut album Pink Friday.  Young Mula Baby.

NEW Colin Munroe Remix + NEW ARTIST: Thommy

Bulletproof Monster (La Roux X Nicki Minaj Revox) - Colin Munroe

Here's a pretty sick mashup of La Roux's 'Bulletproof' and Nicki's verse from Kanye's 'Monster'.  Colin Munroe is definitely someone who'll be an important part of the future of music.  He's worked with big names like Drake and Wale so keep this singer-songwriter and record producer's name in mind!

A quick shoutout to Ichiro for getting 200 hits in 10 consecutive seasons.  Talk about consistency.

What If - Thommy feat. Jeremy Greene

Ok I basically have no background knowledge of either of these two and have never heard of them before but I do know that they made a dope track right here.  Check it out!

Fast Cars - Free Sol & Justin Timberlake

Here's a name you've probably never heard of before: Free Sol.  Free Sol is a rock/rap band out of Memphis closely associated with Justin Timberlake.  I'd consider them one of the most unique up-and-coming artist(s) in music.  They're steadily blowing up and garnering interest from fans all over.  They're currently on tour with Big Sean and they performed at the renown Lollapalooza Festival this past summer so you know they're for real.  Here they've come up with a sick track with the man who discovered them, Justin Timberlake.  Check it out!!

The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted - Gucci Mane

IT'S HEREEE!!!! Gucci's third studio album, also one of the most anticipated albums of the year just leaked today.  Featured on the album is Bun B, Swizz Beatz, Ray J, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell, Wyclef Jean, and Estelle.  GUCCI!!!!

NEW J. LO feat. RICK ROSS & THE-DREAM: Run This World

Run This World - Jennifer Lopez, Rick Ross & The-Dream

All around super celebrity J. Lo's still bringing it at age 41.  She starred in the film, The Back-up Plan earlier this year and the movie did a respectable job at the box office.  J. Lo's set to release her seventh album, Love? sometime soon and I'm guessing this new track with Rozay and Dream will be included on it.

NEW GUCCI: Haterade

Haterade - Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj & Pharrell

GUCCI!!! This track brings a totally different feel from Gucci.  It's a pretty smooth track overall, not like the banger-type tracks Gucci usually brings us.  I actually didn't like it a whole lot at first, but after a couple listens it really grew on me and I'm loving it now (さすが Gucci).  So don't turn it down right it (by clicking on the downward pointing arrow on the right side of the music player) and then come back to it whenever and you'll really see it's a dank track.  This is just one of the tracks off Gucci's NEW ALBUM, THE APPEAL: GEORGIA'S MOST WANTED set to come out in only ONE WEEK!! (September 28th)  I'm more than positive there'll be some sick electro/heavy remixes of this so we'll be sure to put one up if we come across a dope mix.  GUCCI!

British Girl Group: THE SATURDAYS feat. FLO RIDA

Higher (Remix) - The Saturdays & Flo Rida

For the past couple years, The Saturdays have been one of the hottest music acts in the UK.  They blew up with their debut album, Chasing Lights, in 2008 and they haven't looked back yet.  Here, they've teamed up with Tramar Dillard, a.k.a. Flo Rida to make a catchy upbeat track that should get some recognition in the coming days.

Who's That Chick - Rihanna & David Guetta

The second leaked track off Rihanna's upcoming album, Loud, is this track right here with a solid beat from the profound David Guetta.  Rihanna seems to be going in a different direction; a more upbeat and 'happy' sound compared to her last album, Rated R, which had a darker vibe to it.

Who's That Chick (ft. David Guetta) - Rihanna by diegoquintao

Just The Way You Are (Remix) - Bruno Mars & Lupe Fiasco

As some of you may know, B.o.B.'s hit joint, Nothin On You was originally done by Lupe and Bruno (which I've also posted below), but ended up going to B.o.B.  Peronally, I find the original version with Lupe to be much more better musically, simply because I feel Lupe's smooth vibe matches better with Bruno's voice, rather than B.o.B's choppy style of rapping....but that's just my opinion.  Anyways, the two are back together on a track together with Lupe adding two short verses on Bruno's current monster hit, Just The Way You are.  These two together are just too sick and I'm psyched for them to bring us more dope material.

Get 'em Girls - Jessica Mauboy & Snoop Dogg

Looks like Snoop Dogg's continued to work with female pop singers following his California Gurls track with Katy Perry.  This time, he's done a track with Australian pop singer/actress Jessica Mauboy.  Jessica Mauboy, formerly of the Australian pop group, the Young Divas, is steadily blowing up with her sophomore album, also titled Get 'Em Girls, scheduled to come out in November of this year.  She's already worked with Flo Rida and Sean Kingston, and scheduled to appear on her upcoming album is Ludacris, Jay Sean, Snoop Dogg (this track), and Iyaz, so Jessica Mauboy might be a name you'll hear more and more of in the near future.

Angel - Akon

Here's a nice classic Akon-esque soon-to-be-a-big-hit track called Angel.  This track is off Mr. Konvict Muzik's fourth album, Stadium, which is supposed to drop sometime before the end of the year.  Every track from Akon that's been leaked recently has had an upbeat electro dance vibe to it, and this one's no different.

Back In Black - Santana + Nas

Woow.  Who saw this one coming??  Two of the best and most respected artists of their respective genres team up to bring us a cover of the classic AC/DC track: Back In Black.  There've been some pretty unique collaborations out there but this one is just too sick.  This track is a sure banger, with Nasir bringing us short, crisp verses and Santana tearing it up.  This one's a must have and we'll hopefully see some more crazy, creative collabos of all genres soon.

MAC MILLER + NEW Stevie Hoang

Every now and then, we'll be giving you guys a heads up on some sick artists who may not be well known now, but will be when their time comes.  There's been a good number of new young artists who've emerged in the game recently and one of them is this real sick and talented rapper Mac Miller.  This 18 year old out of Pittsburgh will definitely be a big part of music in the near future.  His flow is unreal with smooth transitions and word-play at its best.  Look out for Miller to be dropping ridiculous material for us on a regular basis.  His latest mixtape, K.I.D.S., only consisting of original tracks, received nothing but praise from critics all over.  My personal favorite from K.I.D.S., is 'Nike's On My Feet' and I'm sure you guys will know why.  For more on Mac Miller and other up-and-coming sick artists, check out our TOMORROW'S HITMAKERS page.

Nike's On My Feet - Mac Miller

Fight For You - Stevie Hoang

Dope, catchy track from AZN-British singer Stevie Hoang who's actually signed to the top-notch Japanese label Avex.  His sophomore album, No Coming Back, should be dropping some time soon, so we'll definitely have more from Hoang in the near future.

NEW Maroon 5 Album: HANDS ALL OVER

Maroon 5 - Hands All Over

Maroon 5's back with their 3rd studio album, Hands All Over.  M5 blew up with their debut album, Songs About Jane, with hits like 'Sunday Morning', 'This Love', and 'She Will Be Loved'.  Adam Levine and his band haven't looked back, as this new album will not disappoint.  'Hands All Over' has a generally upbeat feel, with a couple exceptions, most notably the joint track with Lady Antebellum, 'Out of Goodbyes', which has a real mellow vibe.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

Aubrey Drake Graham.  He's one the most talked about artists out there today and for good reasons.  His slick flow and smooth singing voice has brought him a fan base larger than most expected when he first came out.  I've personally been a fan of Drake from about 6 years ago when he starred in the TV show Degrassi.  At the time, he was just a likable character on a TV show and never did I expect him to be where he's at right now.  With Weezy gone for now, Drake's got YM on his back and has been going to work on a regular basis.  His debut album, Thank Me Later, dropped this past June and was/is one of the hottest albums of the summer and year.  However, most of his music is released online through mixtapes and leaks so not all of his songs are known by all...but definitely should be.  Here's some of his stuff from his young career that may not have gotten as much recognition as they deserve.

NEW Maino + NEW R&B Sensation: Miguel

Ask Me About Brooklyn - Maino & Joell Ortiz

The title of the track says it all.  My boy Maino hits us with a sick track paying homage to BK.  After his debut album, If Tomorrow Comes, dropped last summer, Maino is becoming one of the more recognized artists in the industry.  A true New Yorker, Maino completely shuts it down with Joell Ortiz, another Brooklyn native on this track.  His sophomore album, The Day After Tomorrow drops sometime soon and it's sure to be another sick sick album.  I personally got to listen to a taste of what kind of material Maino has in store for us and the stuff was absolute fire.  All we can do is wait for one of the realest rappers out there to show us what he's made of.  New York Stand Up.

All I Want Is You (Remix) - Miguel, Rick Ross & J. Cole

There's a new voice in the R&B genre and he goes by the mononym Miguel.  He's got a real dope vibe that we'll hopefully be hearing more of in the near future.  The Bawse Ricky Rozay delivers a sick verse that blends in real well with Miguel.  One of the sickest up and coming rappers, Roc Nation's J. Cole, who's featured on the original version, comes through and continues to build up hype for his debut album, Cole World, which is scheduled to drop before the end of the year.  Miguel's own debut album, also called All I Want Is You, is scheduled to drop in the first half of 2011 so we'll have some waiting to do.

15. The Messenger

YEEESSSS.  Mike Shinoda and the boys are back!!! Their new album, A Thousand Suns, officially comes out in two days (September 10th) but BAY AREA TRACKS has got you guys covered.

Now, LP went in a different direction in Minutes To Midnight, their latest album, and it seems like they've moved to another sub-genre again.  Some people didn't like LP in Minutes To Midnight, and I'm more than certain some people won't like this one too.  Personally, I think this album is insane on all levels.  I've run through it twice and Mike Shinoda, one of my favorite people in the world, still kills all his verses.  Rick Rubin works his magic again, adding another solid album to his already highly respectable career.  Overall, a very solid album from one of my favorite bands of all time...I hope you guys enjoy it too.

British Rapper TINIE TEMPAH + NEW R. Kelly Track

Invincible - Tinie Tempah & Kelly Rowland

One of the promising young artists in the Grime scene is rapper Tinie Tempah.  For those who've never heard of Grime, Grime is a relatively new genre of music that formed in the UK in the early 2000's.  It's a mix of Dancehall, Drum & Bass, and Hip-Hop and is becoming more and more popular as more artists emerge in Grime.  Tinie's debut album, Disc-Overy, drops OCTOBER 4TH and this track with Destiny's Child's Kelly Rowland is included in it.

Tinie Tempah Ft. Kelly Rowland - Invincible by UnusualSinner

Fireworks - R. Kelly

R. Kelly's been in the R&B game for a while now, and still proves he's a leader in the genre with constant releases.  This track, Fireworks, is off his upcoming album, Epic.  This is a real relaxed track so sit back and enjoy!

NEW N-Dubz Track

Best Behavior - N-Dubz & Mr. Hudson

The infamous British Pop/Hip-Hop group N-Dubz has been on the rise for the last few years.  Their track "I Need You" was a big hit last year and it looks like N-Dubz is still going hard based on this new track, Best Behavior.  They aren't as raw as Magnetic Man but they're still relatively new.  Legal troubles seem to be a constant obstacle for these guys but we look forward to the material they'll produce in the future.

Best Behaviour - N-Dubz by bayareatracksnow

Getting Nowhere - Magnetic Man & John Legend

Magnetic Man is a fresh new trio of dubstep/trancestep DJ's that were just signed to a label this past February.  M.M. consists of three individually talented DJ's by the names of Skream, Benga, and Artwork. Their debut album drops OCTOBER 4TH so if you're into new, sick, insane electro music, M.M.'s definitely a group worth following.  This track with John Legend, personally one of my favorite artists, is just so smooth and chill.  I'm pretty pumped about this track so I hope you guys will be too.  Enjoy!

Devil In A New Dress - Kanye West

The latest of Dark Twisted Fantasies, Kanye's upcoming album due out NOVEMBER 16TH.  This is a real chill song, not a banger like Power or Monster, but still a solid track from Yeezy.  With more tracks to come from Dark Twisted Fantasies as well as his collaboration album with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne, there's nothing we can do but simply wait for the sick and genius material Kanye produces.

Everything's Alright - Ne-Yo

A great great song from the self-proclaimed gentleman, Ne-Yo.  His fourth album, Libra Scale, is scheduled to come out in early October and there's alot of hype surrounding it.  This song isn't listed on the Libra Scale tracklist but nontheless, its a smooth classic Ne-Yo-esque track.  Enjoy!

Big Sean's one of the sickest up and coming rappers in the game signed to Kanye's ridiculous star-studded G.O.O.D. music label. (others include Cudi, Common, John Legend & Consequence just to name a few)  We've been waiting for his debut album to drop forever, but it has an official SEPTEMBER 14TH release which all of us are psychedddd for.  This is his mixtape, Finally Famous Vol. 3, which came out a couple days ago and it's sweeping the internet with a massive number of downloads.  Look out for Sean to lead the new wave of lyrical rappers to take over the game in the near future!!!

Here's a link to download the mixtape:

Bieber, Nicki Minaj & Katy Perry

Runaway Love (Remix) - Justin Bieber, Raekwon & Kanye West

Justin Bieber on a track with the Chef??? Wu-Tang + Bieber??? Although you might initially turn this song away, give it a good couple listens and you'll start to see that this song is in fact pretty sick.  Kanye goes to work again and as always, surprises us and makes our ears happy.  The whole beat is pretty much based off the classic "Wu-Tang Ain't Nuthing Ta F' Wit" by Wu-Tang and turns out to be a pretty nice tune.  Kanye and Raekwon's verses are sick and they contrast really well with Bieber.

Runaway Love (Remix) (Feat. Justin Beiber & Raekwon) by Epic_Network
Check It Out - Nicki Minaj &

Nicki Minaj of Young Money and bring us a neat catchy song that's bound to become a hit.  This'll probably be included in Minaj's debut album, Pink Friday, due out sometime in November.  Young Money's still going hard without Weezy!!

E.T. (Futuristic Lover) - Katy Perry

So Katy Perry's new album Teenage Dream dropped about a week ago, and it just took over Eminem's Recovery for the top spot on the Billboard 200.  While reviews were somewhat mixed, I personally think it's a great pop album that definitely deserves the top spot.  I found my favorite song on the album to be E.T. because of its sick beat and generall positiveness.  Check it out!!

Here's the download for the song:
