Ask Me About Brooklyn - Maino & Joell Ortiz
The title of the track says it all. My boy Maino hits us with a sick track paying homage to BK. After his debut album, If Tomorrow Comes, dropped last summer, Maino is becoming one of the more recognized artists in the industry. A true New Yorker, Maino completely shuts it down with Joell Ortiz, another Brooklyn native on this track. His sophomore album, The Day After Tomorrow drops sometime soon and it's sure to be another sick sick album. I personally got to listen to a taste of what kind of material Maino has in store for us and the stuff was absolute fire. All we can do is wait for one of the realest rappers out there to show us what he's made of. New York Stand Up.
All I Want Is You (Remix) - Miguel, Rick Ross & J. Cole
There's a new voice in the R&B genre and he goes by the mononym Miguel. He's got a real dope vibe that we'll hopefully be hearing more of in the near future. The Bawse Ricky Rozay delivers a sick verse that blends in real well with Miguel. One of the sickest up and coming rappers, Roc Nation's J. Cole, who's featured on the original version, comes through and continues to build up hype for his debut album, Cole World, which is scheduled to drop before the end of the year. Miguel's own debut album, also called All I Want Is You, is scheduled to drop in the first half of 2011 so we'll have some waiting to do.
